Galerie Strouk
November 28, 2024 – January 18, 2025
Opening reception on November 28 at 6 p.m.

Galerie Strouk is proud to present a major exhibition dedicated to the work of ERRÓ, an essential figure in contemporary art whose work has, for over sixty years, interrogated the power of images and the circulation of modern mythologies. Through his dynamic and saturated compositions, ERRÓ offers a singular vision of the world, where iconic figures from popular culture, politics, media, and mythology meet, clash, and transform.

True to his approach to collage and appropriation, ERRÓ draws from thousands of images sourced from the press, comics, advertising, and more recently, the web. His works, filled with an aesthetic of accumulation, create informational landscapes that reflect the complexity and diversity of contemporary representations. Amidst this visual abundance, ERRÓ plays with symbols of power, culture, and identity, providing the viewer with an incisive, satirical re-reading of society.

The exhibition will showcase both emblematic works and previously unseen pieces, highlighting the breadth of the artist’s inspirations and his unique approach to painting. Step into ERRÓ’s dense and provocative universe, where each composition serves as a visual reflection on our era and its paradoxes.
